The Hand-Carved Rose Wooden Urn is not chosen for what it represents in general, but for what it holds that cannot be easily described.

It becomes part of the environment: Placed deliberately, adjusted over time, lived with rather than visited.

There is no attempt to make it exact. Slight variations in carving depth, in form, in how the wood reflects light, these are not inconsistencies. They are the result of something being made, not replicated.

It does not fix meaning in place.

It allows it to remain, in its own form.
